Our ancestors looked to the natural world for guidance and wisdom. I’ve long been interested in mythology and folklore, where an animal may signal danger, serve as a guide, or protect from harm. These are but a few of my interpretations of these stories; I could have included the story of Elijah fed by ravens in the wilderness, of trickster coyote, of shapeshifters, so many others.
