Slumgullion Pass Rozome on kimono silk, juniper hanger by the artist In June we visited Slumgullion Pass, and were dismayed to find that beetles had killed much of the forest at altitiudes over 11,000 feet. Parts of the area had burned, leaving charred stumps. But tiny new trees had been planted in the burn area, giving hope for a future forest. How would we go on without hope? |
