At Ghost Ranch in northern New Mexico Kitchen Mesa is well known. It keeps changing as great slabs occasionally tumble down, and recently when I was there I noticed the early morning sun reflecting off of one rock face onto another. I've painted Kitchen Mesa many times before, but had never focused in on this small detail high up on the south end.
