Dancing with the Devil Rozome on Silk Noil. The sacred datura flower is lovely, but every part of the plant is deadly. The devils' claw flower is not poisonous, but gets it name from the way its seedpod clings to the feet of cattle and other animals. So the question is, which of these two plants is more aptly named? The shape of the juniper branch echoes the profile of the Sandia Mountains, in whose foothills grew this datura, the devils claw, and the juniper. |
