Without Bombyx mori, the domesticated silkmoth, there would be no Japanese Rozome. Silk is also produced in India, China, Thailand, and other parts of Asia. Species of moths may vary, but all are insects who are making the silk on which we do our art.
It can take up to 5,000 cocoons to make a kimono!
